  • That's alright! We offer rental shoes, harnesses and belay devices. Chalk bags and chalk are available for purchase at our front desk. Anybody can climb on our bouldering walls and our Kilter Board but you must have a certified belayer to belay you on the top roping walls. You must also be a certified Lead Climber to lead climb on our walls. Check with the front desk for Certifications. Also please fill out our Participant Agreement before coming in. A completed waiver must be on file before climbing on any of our walls.

  • Nope! Our membership does come with a lot of awesome benefits, but we offer single and multi-day passes as well as rental gear.

  • Climbers must wear climbing shoes while climbing on the walls. Climbers may bring their own shoes or rent a pair from the front desk. Being an athletic activity, clothing with free-range motion is suggested. Longer shorts or pants are usually more comfortable underneath the harness and protect the knees from scratching against the walls. Our facility is climate controlled, but it does tend to get warmer or colder depending upon the weather outside.

  • We have bouldering, top-roping, and lead climbing. Climbers must pass a Top-Rope/Belay Certification Test to be allowed to clip in and/or belay another climber. Climbers must pass a separate Lead Climbing Certification Test to be allowed to Lead Climb on our walls. Climbers may bring their own rope, but it must be and indoor rope that has been inspected by the front desk staff prior to use.

  • Bouldering is done on walls that are 13-15 feet tall above heavily matted floors and without ropes. “Problems” are a series of handholds and footholds placed on the wall that require different technical movements to be climbed. Problems are graded on a scale and labeled based off of their difficulty. Due to the absence of ropes every fall in Bouldering is a ground fall, requiring strict attention to safety at all times. Watch our Climber Orientation Video or take our Bouldering Basics course to learn more about Bouldering safety.

  • Top-Roping is a type of climbing where a rope is anchored at the top of the wall with the climber tied into one end, and the belayer hooked into the other through a special belay device. As the climber goes up the wall, the belayer takes the slack out of the rope – keeping the climber from falling when they come off of the wall. When the climber is ready to come down, the belayer safely lowers them to the ground. A Top-Rope/Belay Certification Test must be passed for a climber to be allowed to participate in Top-Roping or Belaying.

  • We generally have 7 auto-belays up, with the number fluctuating if units are down for maintenance. All climbers will be required to go through an orientation and pass our Auto-Belay Certification.

  • No, but if you have never climbed before or haven’t climbed in a long time it might be a good idea. A lot has changed in the climbing world over the last 20 years and it’s always good to stay up to date with the latest information. We offer a Learn the Ropes class, a Bouldering Basics class, and a Learn to Lead class.

  • We do not have a minimum age requirement, although anyone under the age of 13 needs to be supervised by an adult while inside of our facility. Children under the age of 13 cannot belay inside of the facility, but may still climb if belayed by a Rapp Rocks certified belayer. Climbing can be done by all ages!

  • Individual Memberships can be placed on hold for $10 per member up to a maximum of 5 months. Memberships can be reactivated with no activation fee any time before the 5-month hold ends.

  • We do not allow outside footwear on our walls. All climbers must climb in a pair of either their own climbing shoes or a pair of rental shoes from our front desk.

  • Day Passes are valid for the entire day in which they are purchased. Climbers may leave and come back the same day if they desire.

  • Sure! Punch Passes can be shared with 1 person per day. The Punch Pass holder must be present in order to use a Punch on another person. Punch Passes do not expire.

  • We do offer a rental rope for lead climbing. All lead climbers may bring their own ropes that have not been used in an outdoor setting. All lead ropes must be approved by the front desk staff prior to use. All lead climbers must also pass our Lead Climbing Certification Test.
